  I finally have time for this post.. Actually the fan kit set from my last post had already been installed on the bike. It worked well and really lowered the engine temp. as I expected.  The temp. gauge won't goes up to 4 bars in general condition even in city streets ride.  BUT.. then I got myself another fan which has better CFM performance (also higher power consumption) and an adjustable temperature switch. Here's how the work had done..  NEW DC FAN 6W The metal piece mounted on the fan is a handmade bracket I use temporarily by now. The right side attaches to the right side of the radiator while the left side to be fixed with a zip tie. (this will be shown in the pics later on) the fan sits right behind the radiator Radiator and frame are assembled using only 1 M6 bolt where I take it as a fix joint for my fan bracket. PREPARING... Here's the reason why I'm trying to put a fan on my 796.. Oil temperature raises real quick while riding in in hot weather and it's even worse stuck in traffic. (dash image from owner manual) -Oil temp. gauge shows 3 bars as normal condition.  -But it can be 4 bars easily waiting for 60sec traffic light, and that's nothing good.   At this point bike becomes a little  bit hard to start. -After several traffic light waiting it will be showing 5 bars .  At this point gasoline evaporate in a unusual way in gas tank as I can hear whistle sound coming out from the rubber tube. <---FOR REFERENCE---> - if the temperature is between -40°C and +80°C he display shows “STATUS 2”; - if the temperature is between +81°C and +110°C the display shows “STATUS 3”; - if the temperature is between +111°C and +135°C the display shows “STATUS 4”; -if the temperature is between +136°C and +160°C the display shows “STATUS 5”; - if the temperature is between +161°C and +17

Ducati bikes are generally making louder noise then any other japanese bikes.  That's way I don't let it idle near my house.  I came up with 3 ways to reduce the noise and they all ended up with bad result.  Here's what happened..    1st - The folded Beer Can  The X shape tube was made from a beer can body. I thought it would be a good one to separate the pressure of exhaust gas and hopefully reduces the noise. But then unfortunately I was wrong. So wrong that the beer can  broke into pieces after something between 10~20km ride. In the meantime , these's no difference in sound measurement. what a shocking result.. 2nd - The Adjusted exhaust valve 796 and all the other Ducati models has a build-in exhaust valve in the mid-pipe. It's originally designed to be used to reduce noise while reving up at a range of 4k RPM.   I am actually kind of a "LOW REV RIDER", if there is such a term.. which means low rev performance and throttle response of a bike is critical to me. Unfortunately.. every DUCATI bike is well known to be running rough in lower rev range. Someday I happened to found an article on a forum ducatimonster.org. A rider in the article thread said iridium spark plug doesn't not provide better horsepower but better throttle response because of higher ignition efficiency. Without a doubt I searched for them and ordered 2x iridium plugs. Left Stock / Right Iridium Iridium plugs has smaller electrode that  gives wider range of igniting condition and reduces the change of misfiring. Bought it from Ruten.com for NTD300 each. It's not expensive component but still play an important roll in a motorcycle.   Front and rear cylinder plugs Old stock plugs are seemed to be in good condition though I'm replacing them anyway for.. fun.
